Organic Rosehip Seed Oil (Certified Organic and Fair for Life)

Rosehip seed has recently soared in popularity as it is believed to be the best oil available for anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation. Numerous scientific studies have also taken place which have produced substantial evidence supporting the use of Rosehip Seed oil. Rosehip seed oil is extracted from the seeds of a native rose plant which mainly grows wild in Chile. The oil has been used by native people in Chile for centuries, and has only been validated by scientists fairly recently.

Background of where our Rosehip Seed oil comes from

The majority of Rose Hip on the market comes from Chile, but there is some confusion over the variety. The Chilean Rose Hip is a mixture of Rosa Canina, Rubignosa and others, however, Fushi sources Rosehip Seed oil from Lesotho a PURE ‘Rosa Rubignosa’ and not a mix, which is very unusual to find. Rosehip grows wild in Lesotho, southern Africa. This landlocked country is very mountainous, and the entire country is above 1400 metres above sea level.

Fushi's organic Rosehip Seed oil  comes from Rose Hips that are wild harvested in some very small villages in Lesotho from a ‘Fair for Life’ certified project, to help supplement incomes for poor villagers. A percentage of the sales price goes directly in a fund for the villages and villagers are provided with extra income earned from the seeds that they have left over after the main picking which is done to collect the 'hips' for Rosehip tea. These seeds are then collected and cold pressed to produce the finest quality of unrefined amber coloured Rosehip Seed oil
